You, Me and the OTC

It was a bit scary going to my new cubicle.

One big room; a lot of computers, desks and so many people!

I was told I’d be dealing with Teresa in the Audit Division.

Working together to solve the OERB’s assessment issues was our mission.

It was 2003 when I first began this task.

Now it’s 2022, how this happened, don’t ask!

Time has a way of its own, I think.

Will come and go sometimes before we can blink!

Through the years we’ve solved many assessment mysteries,

Beginning with OERB then adding SOER in 2013.

Back in time to when most everything was on paper and in files,

I would use a magnifying glass and you would walk by in smiles,

And comment a detective at work is what I see.

We had fun with that over the years, believe me!

From solving assessment issues to dealing with hi-tech matters, such as flea market finds,

You were Johnny on the spot most of the time!

So, we became friends, co-workers, sisters in Christ…you get the gist.

Lots of laughter, hard work and prayers top the list.

And just like that how it began in 2003,

Ends our time together, just you, me, and the OTC.

I wish you many happy memories as you venture into retirement my friend. 

You deserve it!
