Till Daybreak

The dew at nighttime

Glistens in the dark.

The busy footsteps

Have left the park.

Another day has come and gone

And now the night awaits the dawn.

Silent, yet noise abounds.

Different than daytime sounds.

You see a stillness that seems to say,

"Daytime’s asleep. It’s the end of the day."

Calm, cool, rest, nestled in,

Till daybreak, when a new day will begin.
